Installation

Fitting done properly the first time

A bull bar is a structural accessory. Correct mounting, torque and sensor handling matter as much as the bar itself.

What's involved

The fitment process

Most bull bar installations take a few hours. Vehicles with radar, cameras or additional wiring take longer.

1. Confirm the fitment

We check your make, model, build year, variant and sensor configuration against the product before anything is ordered.

2. Prepare the vehicle

Front bumper components are removed, mounting points are inspected and any required brackets are dry-fitted.

3. Fit and reconnect

The bar is mounted to the vehicle's chassis rails using the supplied hardware. Sensors, cameras and lighting are reconnected and tested.

4. Check and hand over

Torque settings are checked, panel gaps aligned and any supplied documentation is passed on to you.

Things worth knowing

These are the issues that most often affect a fitment on modern vehicles.

Airbag compatibility
Many vehicles require the bar to be designed for the vehicle's airbag system. Where a manufacturer states an airbag-compatible design, we pass that documentation on. Where they don't, we say so.
Sensors and radar
Front parking sensors, radar cruise and cameras may need relocation brackets or recalibration. Some configurations require a dealer-level calibration after fitment.
Weight and suspension
A steel bar and winch adds significant front weight. Suspension may need upgrading to keep ride height and handling correct.
Registration and compliance
Requirements vary between states and territories. Confirm the rules that apply to your vehicle and jurisdiction before installation.

Important: Product compatibility, certification and compliance can vary by vehicle, model year, configuration and jurisdiction. Customers should confirm applicable requirements before purchase or installation. ACM Bull Bars 4x4 Accessories does not make compliance claims unless specifically supported by the relevant product documentation.
